Having just returned from a business trip to New Orleans, I was interested in reading more about how people there survived during the Katrina disaster. One of the most disturbing videos was one I found on YouTube from the NRA about how non-violent law abiding citizens had their weapons unlawfully confiscated and destroyed; and at times, were brutally assaulted for no reason what so ever.
This is one of my biggest concerns about carrying and storing firearms during a disaster while there is still some “Rule of Law”. How do you protect yourselves from police taking your weapons?
NOTE TO SELF: This is yet another example of why it is important to have a back up of your supplies. Finding a solution for creating secure caches with our backup supplies needs to be a priority.
